Crafting Timeless Memories: The Role of Venue and Photography in Your Perfect Wedding

Many factors contribute to creating the ideal wedding. One of these is the weather, but we can’t do much about that. An essential aspect that you can influence is the album of photographs that will record this special day forever.

It goes without saying that you will engage a reputable, professional photographer, but what else should you consider? Well, the choice of venue is also a critical factor. You and your guests will have made sure you’re looking dazzling for the occasion. The location that provides the backdrop for your photos needs to be equally stunning. A well-chosen location will inspire your photographer, offering numerous opportunities to frame that perfect shot.

At Tortworth Court Wedding Photo, we have the expertise and passion to make the most fabulous wedding album for you and your guests. We also have a superb location for recording the magic of your marriage vows.

De Vere Tortworth Court: Where Dreams Become Reality

With its beautiful facade, landscaped gardens, and panoramic woodlands, De Vere Tortworth Court offers the ideal location for your dream wedding.

The Victorian Gothic mansion, set in the heart of the South Gloucestershire countryside, offers traditional grandeur alongside modern amenities. It boasts 201 meticulously appointed rooms and suites, elegantly furnished with neo-classical and gothic-style fixtures and art.

Little wonder, then, that many couples choose De Vere Tortworth Court as their fairytale venue to be joined in matrimony.

A Legacy of Luxury and Elegance

Let me tell you a little about this grand wedding venue, also known today as Balmoral Castle or Balmoral Estate. The imposing 30 acres manor was built by 19th-century London architect Samuel J. Daukes and features intricate stonework and ornate wood carvings. Over the years, the estate has attracted royalty, celebrities, and famous political figures from around the world.

De Vere Tortworth Court’s sprawling estate offers a warm and inviting ambience to all its guests in a range of settings.

In the Grand Hall, prominent features include a magnificent sweeping stone staircase and high ceilings. Ornate stonework and intricate stained-glass windows add sophistication and elegance.

Then there’s the orangery, bathed in natural light coming through a large atrium or skylight surrounded by glass doors. Floor-to-ceiling windows open onto a grassed court where guests may enjoy drinks in the summer. The Orangery can accommodate up to 100 guests.

The Morning Room has a capacity of 60 guests, perfect for a more intimate wedding ceremony. This room showcases beautiful wood carvings and an inviting log fire. If you are planning a bigger event, the prestigious Westminster Suite is suitable for up to 280 guests.

At Tortworth Court Wedding filming, we are intimately familiar with the building and its features. We can therefore be sure to select exactly the right spot for each precious photograph.

Why choose De Vere Tortworth Court?

This magnificent manor hosts around 120 weddings each year. This year, De Vere Tortworth Court won The Wedding Industry Awards’ “Best Hotel in the Southwest.” Why do so many couples choose De Vere Tortworth Court as the location for their dream wedding?

There are numerous reasons. For some, it’s the convenient and picturesque location, and of course, its history and splendour. Others are enthused about the grand receptions, while professionalism in planning and organisation is also highlighted. However, one of the estate’s major attractions is that it boasts so many features that are perfect for wedding photo backdrops, both inside and out.

Thornbury Hall

A beautifully restored Georgian manor on 40 acres near Tetbury. Grand but never stuffy — original fireplaces, flagstone floors and a dedicated day host who stays with the couple throughout. A walled kitchen garden opens privately for the couple before the wedding breakfast.
