What are Hatherley Manor’s minimum and maximum guest counts, and do these vary by season or day?
There is no minimum guest count. The maximum depends on the space you choose. The Hatherley Suite, the largest function room, holds up to 400 for a civil ceremony, 360 for a wedding breakfast, and 500 for an evening reception. These numbers do not change by season or day of the week.

How far ahead are we booked, and when are the next dates?
Our booking timeline completely depends on the couple and their preferences. We currently have weddings booked for 2028, but we do sometimes receive last-minute bookings, even just a few months before the wedding day.
Do you offer off-peak discounts for winter weddings, weekdays, or less popular months?
Our Whirlwind Wedding Offer is available for weddings taking place within the next 12 months. The package starts from £65 per guest, with a minimum of 60 adult guests. Prices are £65 per guest for Sunday to Friday weddings and £89 per guest for Saturdays.
How many weddings does Hatherley Manor host per year, and do they hold multiple weddings per day?
Hatherley Manor wedding venue hosts only one wedding per day to ensure each couple receives our full attention and a truly special experience. However, we do occasionally take other events on the same day.
What is the total cost for venue hire, and what is genuinely included in that fee?
This will depend on whether the couple only wants to dry-hire the space and the size of the wedding party. We also have multiple wedding packages to choose from, starting from £65 per guest. These include everything from the function space and overnight accommodation to the wedding breakfast, evening food, an event manager on the day, decorations, drinks and much more.
Do you offer outdoor ceremonies, and is there a backup indoor option if the weather is bad?
Yes, our outdoor ceremonies in the walled garden are a popular option for couples, especially in the summertime, as we have a stunning outdoor pavilion capable of holding civil ceremonies for up to 300 people. We also offer an indoor backup option in case the weather is bad.
Are there separate spaces for the ceremony, drinks reception and evening party, or are areas turned around during the day?
Yes, we have five different function spaces available at the hotel, as well as an outdoor space for outdoor civil ceremonies.
Is the venue accessible for elderly or disabled guests (including ceremony and reception spaces and toilets)?
Absolutely, all of our function suites are located on the ground floor. We also have accessible toilets on the ground floor, along with accessible bedrooms available.
Does Hatherley Manor offer in-house catering, bar, DJ, décor or planning, or must couples source these themselves?
While we provide in-house catering and a bar, we don’t offer an in-house DJ or décor beyond what is included in your wedding package. However, we do have a list of recommended suppliers whom we work with regularly.

Has Hatherley Manor hosted cultural or multi-day weddings such as Hindu, Muslim or Jewish celebrations, and how?
We regularly host a variety of cultural and multi-day weddings at the venue and pride ourselves on our multi-faith, culturally diverse approach. We’ve welcomed celebrations including Hindu, Jamaican and Buddhist weddings, and we’re always happy for couples to bring in their own specialist suppliers to honour traditions and create a truly personal experience. Please note that while we are licensed to host civil ceremonies, we’re unable to accommodate any religious ceremonies on site.
Can couples customise the menu, accommodate complex dietary needs, and arrange a tasting beforehand?
We have several menu packages available, and couples are invited to attend a menu tasting prior to their wedding with us.
We cater to all allergens and dietary requirements, we just need to know in advance.
Do you have a dedicated couple’s room or suite if they wish to stay overnight?
We have 56 bedrooms at the hotel, and we also have a dedicated Bridal Suite for the bride and groom if they wish to stay overnight. The suite can also be used as a special room for the bride, groom, or wedding party to get ready in in the morning.
Are there indoor or outdoor spaces that work well for guests who prefer to relax and chat away from loud music?
Yes, absolutely. Most of our function suites open onto outdoor patio areas, offering a peaceful spot for guests to relax and catch up away from the music. With five separate function suites to choose from, we can also help create quieter spaces to ensure everyone feels comfortable throughout the celebration.
